#25 “The Name of Jesus’ Our Authority”
"I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing.
He will do eve greater things then these, because I am going to the Father.
And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may
bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name,
and I will do it.”
(John 14:12-14)
New King James Version (NKJV)

Jesus tells us that whatever we ask in His Name, He will give it to us. One of the primary reason we can have confidence when we pray is, because Jesus has given us the right to pray in His name. His name is or VIP passes into the throne room of God. This is why we can approach God’s throne, which such confidence (Hebrews 1:16)

Also we are given authority through the word of God, because when we pray the word we have all of heaven’s resources, power, and sovereignty of God at our disposal; in the name of Jesus. This is why it is imperative that we pray according to the will and word of God’s, if we are to see the desired results we seek. John 15:7 tells us that, “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you." The total supporting structure of our prayer life is our agreement with or unity with Father God, and praying according to what He desires. The Father, has told us to put Him “in remembrance of His word,” What does this mean? It means that we are to remind God of every promise He has given us, not that He has forgotten but because when we stand on God’s word, He hasten to perform it.

When Jesus was here on earth some think that He was in a better position then we were; because, He was from God. But none of the things Jesus accomplished while her on earth was by divine power of His own. He fulfilled His purpose in His humanity not in His deity. How do we know this? Well one very important reason, Jesus was the sacrifice for our sin and only a man could pay the debt. Then what was the reason Jesus preformed so many miracles, signs and wonders? Well the truth of the matter is if we spent that kind of time in God’s presence we too would perform miracles signs and wonders too. we can not spend quality time with the father and not walk away carrying His essence and glory upon us.

When we talk about living in “Dominion” we should see Jesus, because this is what He as a man did while he was here on earth. Remember that our dominion was not over mankind but over the creature on the land, water and in the air. No wonder He could walk on water, calm the ragging seas, speak to storms and they obey Him; because he was walking in His dominion as the son of David. Beloved this is what Christ Jesus came for to restore us back to a position of dominion in this earth; then He showed us how it was suppose to be done. Everything we saw Him do, we can do! We have been given power and authority enough to supersede the earthly works of our Lord and savior. This is not a cause to brag, but a chance for us to change the events of this world we live in.

My prayer: Lord Jesus thank You for being a perfect example of how we are to walk in dominion, bases on what we saw you do. Thank you for giving us the authority to shift the atmosphere by speaking to storms commanding them to cease and a fig tree, which was not bearing fruit properly and it obeyed Your command. Now by Your example we too know our Authority, in this earth and will walk accordingly. As You have done so too we shall do like wise. Thank you for ever making intercession for us before the father. We will take on the authority and boldness You have given us and take authority of the works of the enemy and his kingdom of darkness. Give us wisdom and knowledge and understanding to know how to utilize Your word and name in the proper way, which will result in answer prayer. Lord Jesus thank you for being our High Preist, which lives forever, making us heirs to Your glorious promise, in Your Preious Name we pray, Amen!
