#44 “Step #13: Activating Your Belief!”
“Then Jesus said to the centurion,
“Go your way; and as
you have believed,
so let it be done for you.”
And his servant was healed that same
hour."
MATTHEW 8:13 NKJ
Now
we come to the last and final step, which is “Activating Your Faith,” by putting your
belief into action, it proves you are living in expectation. This is why
Jesus said, “Ask
and it shall be given to you, Seek and you shall find, Knock and the door shall
be open.”Luke 11:1 Once you have prayed than you just need to
continue to stand and believe that what you have ask for is already done. So don’t
give up, keep on asking, keep on seeking, keep on knocking! Once you truly believe that what you prayed
for is your, that it’s meant to be yours, even if it is hidden behind closed doors no
barrier will keep you from receiving it.
Many times when we encounter opposition we give up hope and will walk away from the promise; this is just what the enemy what’s you to do. The key is not to become discouraged and to keep on persevering, pressing forward towards your blessing. It doesn’t matter what it is you’re believing, God for the enemy will try to discourage you from holding on to the promise. It is up to you to encourage yourself, during these difficult times. What did David say when He became discouraged? “Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God. David knew how to encourage himself, during difficult times, once he even commanded his feet to praise the Lord.
So
when things start to look as if God will not come through you must remind
yourself who you are dealing with, ‘God is not a man, that he should lie; neither
the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or
hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? God will never
make a promise and not keep it, He is the original “promise keeper” He will
make it good! Sometimes it may take longer than we expected for the answer to
arrive, but wait for it, in expectation.
One
of the most difficult things to stand in faith for is sometimes your marriage,
which is in a critical status. We’ll do good until we receive that knock on the
door and some stranger hands us a divorce papers. Even if prior to that we were talking faith,
and believing God for a miracle, it’s as though we think that this little piece
of paper had the final say and not God. I have seen it happen time and time
again that couples come back together even after a divorce to remarry, why
because God is Sovereign and has the final say! You must activate you belief to say that no
matter what I see, not matter what I hear no matter what happens I still
believe You God!
My
Prayer: Father as we stand before your presence we thank you for what you have already
done for us and what you are doing right this very moment, but most of all we
thank you for all the blessings which are yet to come. We trust your word and
know you will hasten to perform it. So we stand on your promises and trust that
your will fulfill them according to you perfect will and timing. We will not
become weary in well doing, we will not faint. Thank you for your great love
and kindness towards us in Jesus’ name we pray Amen!
