#65 “Understanding the Power of the God’s Word”
(Faith Builder)
“Faith
comes from hearing the message,
and the message is
heard through the word of Christ.”
[Romans 10:17]
King James Version
(KJV)
Why is it necessary to read the word on a daily bases? Because,
through the word our faith is built and strengthened the more we read the
stronger we become in the things of God. In our opening text we read that “Faith
comes from hearing the message,” or words of the gospel. Most of us came to God
because of something we heard whether it was a message, a song or a movie,
perhaps it was someone testimony…these words whatever touched you in such a way
that it changed your life forever. Our faith is built whenever we hear others
talking about the word or blessings of God; it encourages us to believe Him for
what we need as well.
“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s
command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible”
it is by our faith that we believe that God created the heavens and the earth
and made man from the dust of the earth. The more we live and utilize the word
of God it enables it to become a powerful driving force in our lives. Faith is the embodiment of our lives a Christians;
because “the
righteous will live by his faith” according to (Hebrews 10:38). “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live. But Christ
lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of
God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 5:20)
We have to practice our faith daily, this is where prayer
becomes invaluable; because, as you pray and believe God to move on the behalf
of other and this world you are building you own faith for getting your own
needs met. The word of God reminds us that, “we do not live by natural bread alone, but we
need every word that comes from the mouth of God.” This is what helps to increase our
faith the more of God’s word we read the more we will believe, then the more we
will receive when we pray. If we would
see our time studying the word of God, like a weight lifter who faithfully goes
to the Gym and bench press more and more weight. We would understand how
important it truly is to be faithful to daily read the word of God. That weightlifter
would lose all of his muscle if he was not faithful to going to the gym and
working out each day. So too would lose our faith if we did not spend daily
time in the word of God; our spiritual muscle would become weak and flabby just
like the weightlifter.
There is
nothing more important for us as intercessors than to understand the power and authority
that we have in the Word of God. This is why we are told that, “And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked
of him.” Building up
our faith in the word gives us absolute confidence that God will honor His word
and perform what He has promised. This is why Christ’ accomplished everything
He set out to do, because He did and said what the word instructed Him. In
other words He simply spoke the words His Father had already said and nothing
else; this is what we must learn to do when we pray. “For I did not speak
of my own accord, but the Father who dent me commanded me what to say and how
to say it. I know that His command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is
just what the Father has told me to say.” (John 12:49-50) and again He said, “the words I say to
you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing His
work…He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear
are not my own: they belong to the Father who sent me.” ( John 14:10,24)
Because Jesus
did exactly what the Father wanted Him to do it ensured Him of the power and
authority He walked in. it will do the same for each of us when we use the
Father’s word in prayer and whatever we are doing. God honors His word and
hasten to perform it in our behalf. This is one of the key secretes to getting
answers to prayer when we speak the Word of God which agrees with the prayer we
are praying. When God said, “Thou shall also decree a thing, and it shall be established
unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” (Job 22:28) When
we speak the Word of God we in fact are decreeing that certain things be done
based on what God has already decreed. We can decree that someone be made whole
or well because God’s Word already says that they are “healed,” we are just
agreeing with what God has already done.
So Speak The Word of God and See Miracles happen!!!
My Prayer: Heavenly Father we thank you for the power and
authority that you have given us through your word. We will study to show
ourselves approved by reading your word daily and putting into practice what we
learn each day. Thank for giving us power to speak boldly in your name that
others may know that your word works and will not fail. Thank in Jesus name we pray Amen!!!
Have A Bless Day…Go in God’s Peace!
