Morning by Morning…
jsmithIII

                                Morning by Morning…
To the garden alone. I come to this quite place
just to seek His face…
                              Morning by Morning
I come to the garden
I come humbly and bowed down
with my hands and face
lifted up…
                            Morning by Morning
To the garden alone.
To meet Him there
with an opened heart
filled with thanksgiving…
                        Morning by Morning
early in the morning
will I seek His face
in this secret place.
I come to the garden,
where His mercies His faithfulness
and His grace is renewed…

"When My Mother Left, You Were There"
By: Mardina Blackshire
'Mother's Day' 1986

When my mother left it up to me to make my final choice,
the loneliness of being without her, never crossed my mind,
of course; and even though I loved my father,
I loved my mother, too but when my mother left,
you were there to bring me through

When you said, “There are things little girls should have
and special things they should do,”
I didn’t know what you meant, but soon found out
that it was true. For when my mother left,
you were there to show me what to do.

When you took me from a life of living here and there,
and taught me all the little things a mother and daughter,
should share, you gave me a home complete with love,
and showed me that you really did care; and when
my mother left me, I thanked God that you were there.

To a child growing up, so many things seem unfair,
but having a mother who really loves you makes;
growing up easier to bare. For when problems came,
that special chair and mom were always there.

Maybe I've never said, I love you, or told you how much I care--
But when my mother left me, I thank God for having your
there!

I Love You Mom!

"Why Are You Here"
By: Brenda Ridge
Have you ever questioned why are you here?
You are here because God has a plan
A plan that only you can bring to pass

Why Are You Here?
Look inside yourself
There's no one quiet like you
This is who you are
A person of destiny, vision, and purpose
And so next time you question yourself
Why Are You Here?
You will already have the answer inside

"Is Persistance and Determination Omnipotent"
By: Mardina Blackshire

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common that unsuccessful people with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve
the problems of human race "
~ Calvin Coolidge I have reflected on this thought and I like King Solomon
would have to say, the human efforts without Gods
guiding hand is subject to failure and is all but vanity.
For millinia he has tried to walk on water, rocketships to the moon,
submarines on the ocean floor,
but eliminate world hunger, or bring about world peace
everything else all our efforts, they still won't ceases.
I conceed that their is no power known to man that is Ominpotent
save our God and Creator of the universe.
although it makes for semingly good verse,
it only tends to make this world worse.
We in and of ourselfs do not poses the magitude, aptitude nor fortitude
to compete with an
All Knowing, All Powerful, Everywhere
Present, All Suficiant GOD!

"In Your Presence is fullness of Joy"
By: Mardina Blackshire

In your presence is fullness of joy,
at your right hand there are, pleasures for ever more.
Lord, please keep me, as the apple of your eye,
and hide me under the shadow of your wings.

Show me the pathways of life
and I will love you with all my heart,
Lord, please keep me, as the apple of your eye,
and hide me under the shadow of your wings.

In your presence is fullness of joy,
When I’m with you, there is nothing that I need fear.
Lord, drew me here, in your presence morn by morn,
And daily in Your presence I’ll abide.

Show me the pathways of life,
And I will love You with all my heart
Lord, please keep me, as the apple of Your eye,
And hide me under the shadow of Your wings.

In your presence is the fullness of joy,
Though evening come and morning fades,
Lord, Your instructions will ever more abide,
As in my heart, your word will forever reside.

Lord show me the pathways of life,
And I will love You with all my heart.
Lord, please keep me as the apple of Hour eye,
And hide me under the shadow of Your wings.

“Intimacy Transforming Me”
By: Mardina Blackshire

Shattered, broken, downcast and lonely,
Tattered clothes, broken dreams, staggering
from the weight of my sins.
All hope is gone, no future in sight,
nothin I’ve ever done, no battle ever won,
nothin came out right, have no more fight.
    Intimacy with Me…

I hear Your voice beckonin me come,
You’re calling me loved one, adored,
To a place of intimacy, encounter Me,
awakened totally.
Whispers of loving me, visions of
Ecstasy raptured, transcended set free,
communions, your body, bread, and wine
refreshing, sins taste removed,
Transforming the whole of me
Intimacy with Me…

holding on to me, lifting me, carryin me
Through time and space
Consciousness erased.
There in this,
Intimate place.
where I see... Your face.
Never ever leaving this place,
  Loves sweet embrace...
 Intimacy with Me.

Our Greatest Fear
Marianne Williamson

Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us. It is not just in some; it is in everyone. And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Let Me Commune With Thee
jsmithIII
pray/song

Let me commune with Thee
Let me commune with Thee
For I know I’m unworthy
to be with Thee…
O Lord my Savior
O Lord have mercy upon me…
Then let me commune with Thee
commune with Thee.

Let me commune with Thee

Let me hear your word
Let me read your words today
for the unworthy…
Let me come running to fall down
on my face before Thee
before Thee.
O Lord my Savior
O Lord have mercy upon me…
Then let me commune with Thee
commune with Thee.

Let me come running to find Thee
Let me come running to find your mercy
O my God.
Let me fall down on my face
before thee
before thee.
O Lord my Savior
O Lord have mercy upon me…
Then let me commune with Thee
commune with Thee.

I CLOSE MY EYES FOR JUST A WHILE
Written by: Mardina Blackshire

I close my eyes for just a while
Weary from the fight,
To only sleep for a moment
There’s still work to do before night,

Then I heard, come home my child
The voice so soft and true,
For here I’ve prepared a place for you
There still much work to do.

I turned to see who beckoned me
So gentle from above,
His voice resounding like no other
Pure essence of His love,

His face was laced with mercy,
Yet agelessly preserved by grace,
His eye so deep and loving
I was instantly lost in time and space.

There is no doubt this is my savior,
My Master and my King,
His garment white and glistening
More radiant than any I’d seen.

I closed my eyes for just a while
Once weary from the fight,
Jesus came and beckoned me home
Now all pain and sorrow is gone.

In loving memory of Archie White,
A soldier gone home tonight

In This Dark Place
jsmithIII

In This Dark Place. . .
my anguish, my burdens, my pains
take me there,(time and time again)
to brood, to languish, to linger. . .
In this dark place
my failures, my guilt's my shames
take me there, (time and time again)
to simmer and roast. . .
but
it was here
in
this dark place
where I make my boast
of
the goodness of the Lord.
It was here
in
the darkest of night
that I heard a still
sweet voice that beckoned me
to come into the light.
it is in
the darkness of night
that through some long ago agreement
that when I start to drift to the final edge,
He sings to me. . .An invasion of song
that bids me come to the Mercy Seat.
That beckoned me to bring my pains,
my shame, to bring my anguish and
my wounded heart and to leave them
there, at the Mercy Seat. . .
in the darkest of night
in this dark place.
