"How Should We Pray"

“My question regarding Prayer: What are God's worshipers like?
They are like arrows aimed at God’s bull’s-eye and prayer is the bow which propels them."

If the above is true then, why don’t more people pray? There are a ton of reasons, which can be given but the primary reason is, “They don’t know how or what to pray.” They just simply don’t know what to say to “GOD!” So then how should we pray? It’s not hard we just pray His Will, but what is His will you ask? The Bible! Yes, God has revealed His will to us in His Holy word…the Bible. If you want to know the will of the Father, then read/study His word!

The psalmist in Psalms 119:11—“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” Unless we know His word we will not know His will. You just simply pray what He has spoken, once it’s in your heart He can direct you how to pray and what to pray. We all should know the Father’s will concerning mankind…right? 2 Peter The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” Knowing this we should then pray that all men would be saved.

We should never pray for things, which are contrary to the Father’s will. A good example of this is asking that some evil would befall the unsaved or our enemies. Why? Because Jesus admonished us to, “pray for those who despitefully use us and say all manner of evil against us.” (Matthew 5:44) We should know that it not the will of God for us to be sick; other wise, why would His send Jesus to heal us, “Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.  He sent out his word and healed them;
he rescued them from the grave. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.”  We should know that God wants us healed and therefore we should pray healing for the sick, it is His will to heal them. Jesus prayed daily, so much that His disciples asked Him, “Lord, teach us to pray…” Jesus told them, “when you pray, pray like this:
Our Father in heaven,
Holy is Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.

Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power
and the glory forever. Amen.

Within this prayer is contained the complete will of the Father,
*      Acknowledging who He is and respect who He is,
*      Ask Him to intervene into the affairs of mankind here on earth,
let His will be done here on earth just as its being done in heaven.
*      Ask Him to provide your daily bread (naturally and spiritually)
*      Repent of your sins and ask His forgiveness and then you forgive others.
*      Ask Him to keep you from evil and the temptation to sin.
*      Acknowledge that He Is God and He is all powerful and glorious now and forever.
*      Amen, simply said, “I agree”

This is how you pray and get answers to the issues being faced in your life and in the world. Now,that's not so hard is it? It’s not, once you know what to pray! Now start there, and allow the father to take you further.

Have a blessed day, go in the peace of God!
