#52 “Identifying Barrier: To Answered Prayer!”
(Spirit of Fear)
“There
is no fear in love, But perfect love drives out fear;
Because, fear has
to do with punishment;
Because, fear
involves torment”.”
James 1:21-22
The Message (MSG)
Then second, is the spirit of Fear, which is a major
barrier when it comes to getting prayers answered. Why because it block us from
truly believing that we free access into God’s presence. The word tells us, “Let
us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and
find grace to help in time of need.” Therefore
we have no need to fear God. When we are afraid whether it’s fear of coming
before a Holy God or fear of not receiving what we prayed for, it’s still fear.
At this point we are not walking in the perfect love of God because when love
is perfected in us there is no need to fear.
There is no need to fear that God will remind you of your
sins because He says ‘He’ll cast them into the sea of forgetfulness and
remember them no more. So there is no reason to come to him in fear. The spirit of fear will paralyzes you it will
take every bit of energy you have out of you.
In fact God wants us to repent so that is nothing standing between your
and God the father.
“But you don’t know what I did,” it doesn’t matter once
you repent of it isn’t a done deal. When
we confess our sins we appropriate the cleansing blood of Christ it purifies us
from all unrighteousness. (I John 1:9) Once we’re forgiven we can approach God
without reservations. Always remember that God loves us and longs for a personal
relationship with us long before we knew Him.
This is why Romans 5:8 says, “but God demonstrates His own love for us in that while we
were still sinners Christ died for us. Now we are in a better position because of the forgiving
grace of the Father, “since we have now been justified by His blood, how much
more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him!”
When Jesus told Peter that he should continue to forgive
someone, no matter how many times that person sinned against him in (Matthew
18:21-22) Jesus was demonstrating God’s
love and attitude toward forgiveness both for us and through us. As you have
been forgiven so you should forgive others. In Isaiah God says, “I even I am he who blots out your transgression,
for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.” This is why we should be encouraged and have
the calm assurance that we can always approach God and see His loving arms stretched
out towards us. “For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and
of love and of a sound mind” (2Timothy 1:7)
My Prayer: Heavenly father we know that you love us and
that you have cleansed us from all unrighteousness by the blood of Jesus
Christ, therefore we will not allow fear and doubt to hinder our coming to you
and believing that your hear us and will answer our prayers. Thank you for your
forgiving grace and for keeping us in your prefect love, which casts out all
fear. We thank and praise you in your Son Jesus Christ name Amen!
Have A Bless Day…Go in God’s
Peace!
